Beloved Community Church Food Forest

Planted with our fall 2021 team of 8 students and many volunteers. The goal for this location was a space for community gathering that was surrounded with food! Originally a plot of grass, our team transformed the area by removing the grass, edging the future grow space and adding compost, then spreading a gravel mix and installing picnic tables.

This food forest has had a second round of plants installed with annuals to fill in the spaces. Some of the plants included are a loquat tree, blueberry bushes, a fig tree, cut leaf cone flower, creeping thyme, strawberries, rosemary, and ginger!
