Vermicomposting

GFGC Students learn to compost with worms!

Worm Bins

Vermicomposting is a method of composting with the help of worms! Worms breakdown food scraps and convert them into rich compost along with a liquid called “worm castings.” The castings are rich in microrganisms that benefit the soil ecosystem!

These worm bins are simple to set up and maintain. They can be kept outdoors, take up little space and do not smell! All you need are three 5-gallon buckets, a lid, worms and food scraps!
